Pebble and natural stone is one of the first construction and trim materials in the history of mankind and so it has been present in the interior of the house since ancient times. The interest towards it nowadays is growing, it is being used everywhere for outside facing of buildings, in interior for walls and floors trimming, for making fireplaces, it is widely used in landscape design.

Shingle is rolled fragments of mountain rocks with diameter from 1 to 10 cm rolled to different degree. Rolling of sharp-cornered fragments occurs under effect of sea coastal waves. Shingle usually has flatter shape than pebble. On the coasts of the Black Sea shingle occupies vast areas and so it is produced in open way.
Unlike natural stone granite that has holochristalline structure the pebble has complicated metamorphic structure thanks to this it is considered one of the most solid and durable construction materials, quite resistant to natural impacts and changes of temperature. Shingle is very much alike natural stone and has large number of types and sizes.

Shingle has wide colour range. Simple colour structures: dark-blue, grey, red, white. There are rocks of melonite, slate, quartzite, ophite etc.

Application of the Black Sea shingle is very wide, it is used for paving, laying and for landscape designs (piling walking paths, decoration of flower beds, conservatories, fountains, pools, artificial ponds and rivers, for ornamenting art forms, decorations: hen houses, front gardens, walking and recreation areas).

For interior the pebble is often used for covering walls and floors, for finishing arches and other elements (mirrors), in bathroom, shower rooms. It looks wonderful on the bottom of the pool when shingle is coated with transparent raisin.

Shingle is characterized with high decoration features and it looks bets of all in combination of different shades and textures. This quality allows using shingle practically for any, even the boldest and unusual designer’s decisions.

Laying of shingle when decorating, facing or making landscape works is made “chaotically” – in the process of laying as a rule large, middle and fine stones are alternated as well as different by shades and colours.

Indisputable advantage of the shingle is its strength, durability, resistance to impact of the environment, frost-resistance. Durability makes it possible to use it in the premises with high passability.

In particular as shingle is a natural stone then its positive features are ecological compatibility and hygienic qualities. Shingle doesn’t impact negatively on the human body and moreover it possesses bactericidal qualities.
One more feature of the stone is inertness i.e. it doesn’t come into reaction with the substances containing in other construction and finishing materials.
